A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

CURRENT BUILD : v.0.01.1

What's New:

In Stasis And In Space is a gay romance space opera where you play as the Commander's younger brother. The story takes place within Soteria Infinity: a residential ark sailing through the eternal void in the hopes of reaching a new home planet at the end of its voyage.

Embark on an adventure between planets, manage your team and commandeer your ship, build lasting relationships or cut them short, and establish respect among the ark...

... all the while reminding your protective older brother that you're more than capable of holding a gun!

This text-based game contains nudity, both visually and descriptive, targeted solely for adult audiences.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hey, Collins here! I'm making a visual novel for the first time!

"In Stasis And In Space" was initially a CYOA game but I decided to turn it into what it is now. I have never picked up a paint brush my entire life, so it still amazes me that I managed to pull off presentable artworks to make this come alive.

I have yet a lot more room for growth, both as an artist and a writer, and I hope you can join me in telling this little story of mine with my average-looking pixel art.

If you would like to support me, I'm opening a Patreon very soon! For now, please consider my Ko-fi account or follow me on Twitter and Tumblr. Many thanks!

Install instructions

FOR ANDROID, IF YOU HAVE THE PREVIOUS VERSION...

I advise uninstalling it first before installing the new version. There are changes deep within the script files that might not work through simply updating the app.

This is untested for iOS, so please report it in the comment section for any bugs.

Is this project dead? Haven't seen anything ever since it was taken off CoG Forums.

Absolutely love this game! It's amazing how much work went into it

Sorry to hear that you're struggling! I just want you to know I had a lot of fun with what exists of the game, and I think you have a lot of potential as an artist and a writer.

(+2)

Hope this is still in development!

(+1)

Is this VN no longer in development? I was so excited when i first installed this i didnt bother to take the time to see how the work was coming along... i truly hope to see this VN go further.

(+1)

Is the game finished yet?

(+1)

Looks really great! Good work! Really enjoy the customization

(+3)

I love how this is written.  A lot of visual novels are written incredibly wordy and redundant but this reads like an actual book!  I really like the beginning, very catching.

(+3)

enjoyed the pleasant if very short read.  It was just long enough, to get me interested.  But so short i was really frustrated to come to the end of whats available so quickly!  This is not a you problem at all, but a me problem, and a sign that what you do have, is really good.  More Please =)

(+2)

Honestly this is one of the best VNs I've encountered here on Itch. Can't believe I'm already falling for Rex this early in the game T.T Hope an update is soon because that cliffhanger has me on pins and needles! Keep up the great work!

This is great! ^^_ and don't sell xourself short, mister Kitt~ ;) we can tell that xou've put a lot of work into xour art UwU xou do dimensions and shadows well, especially considering the platform. It really works with the feel of the story :) I love how xou're telling the tale so far as well, and am really happy that xou decided to bring this to the VN world~ Can't wait to see how xou play out the romances~! :p Kell is best boi! ^o^ keep up the great work and bring on those Bara sprites! \>_</

It's great to see the characters visualised! Kell looks exactly as I imagined. I like the MC customisation options (wish there was an eye colour choice, but we can't have everything).

(+3)

Though I'd love to have a fully customisable MC— from eye color, hair length, skin complexion, etc.— it's going to be a challenge in both coding and artwork, especially with different facial expressions needed. Those features are better applied to visual novels with static avatars, much like how Dream Daddy  did it.

(+3)

Amazing Start and I love Kell, he is such a sweetheart. I'm definitely following and here for the ride. I'm not going to rate just yet because baby here is not finished cooking in the oven. I can't wait for another helping though.

(+1)

Oh my gosh this is amazing. I love the pixel art style! I'm wondering though, out of curiosity: is Kell a datable?

(1 edit) (+1)

Yes! There are also choices that increase your relationship with him. I kept them unlabeled (without the "Flirt" tag) simply because I like to keep people guessing.

But missing those Flirt options won't lock you out of Kell's romance route in the future so the choices you make will be more natural for you.

YES THANK YOU!!

I must admit I was not a fan of this game when I played the Choicescript version, but it does feel like Ren'Py is a better fit for the concept.

im having trouble downloading it on android am i doing something wrong

What does it show up when you try to download it? Have you allowed your phone to download third-party apps?

i just did that and it worked thanks

(+2)

Will you add in the future an option to disable character portrait? I like the new idea of the visual novel, but I preferred the cyoa style with only words.

(+2)

I'm sorry, as of now I don't plan on making that option because of its storytelling style. Having the MC physically present on screen becomes integral as the NPCs get to interact with him.

I get where you're coming from, though. Porting it from a CYOA into a VN has its pros and cons, but I hope the positives can outshine the negatives for you to enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll put it up in my thinking board for me to ponder in the future!

(+2)

I'm loving this new version. The pixel art is very charming!

(+4)

Off to a great start! I'm really liking the changes you made to the story and the characters :) Can't wait for more

(+4)

This is really good! Love the art style and narration. The opening sequence is a great touch too. Keep up the good work!

(+4)

I really liked the CYOA vers. felt more "open" in a way, but this one's fun hope to see more of it.

(1 edit) (+5)

Yay!! One of my favorites is back, and is so good!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

(+6)

Heh, welcome back mate. I played the Dashingdon version before, and now that you turned it into a Visual Novel? I am excited with what you are going to do with it.
